MD&A's Turbine Generator Controls Division in Fort Collins, CO, is seeking an experienced OT Network & Cyber Security Engineer who will own and advance MD&A’s internal lab OT network and cybersecurity posture, lead the design and implementation of OT network architectures for customer sites, and ensure secure, compliant connectivity across all environments.
- Serve as the primary owner of MD&A’s internal lab OT network and associated cybersecurity controls.
- Develop standardized OT network architectures for customer-site installations.
- Implement or modify customer-site OT networks and data-collection systems, ensuring compliance with current NERC CIP requirements.
- Manage and maintain patch management processes for OT network devices and cybersecurity infrastructure, ensuring timely identification, testing, and deployment of security updates across all lab and customer site environments.
- Work with the Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics lead to ensure the secure, reliable collection and analysis of customer operational data.
- Collaborate with MD&A’s IT department to establish secure remote connectivity to customer sites.
- Maintain and update internal standards to ensure OT networks align with organizational requirements and industry best practices.
- Review customer specifications and contribute to project budgeting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or related field of study
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of industrial automation OT networks and cybersecurity protection schemes
- Demonstrated experience administering switched networks, including router and firewall configuration
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across IT, OT, engineering, and vendor teams
- Practical cybersecurity experience in OT environments, including implementing least privilege access, securing remote connections through jump hosts, managing certificates, maintaining accurate asset inventories, and executing effective patch management practices
- Up to 25% travel and field work at customer locations
